Texel Ram Lambs Consigned to Midwest Stud Ram Sale 2026
Lot 874 Halbur's Heavenly Hill
#405
Tag: WI 5025 405
Sex: Ram
Breed: Texel
Division: Breeding Slick
Birth Date: 03/13/2026
DNA: RR Resistant to both strain A & C Scrapie. M/M Myostatin/double muscling gene (will always pass on the myostatin gene to its offspring)
Sire: Briar Lane 208
Dam: Halbur's Heavenly Hill 198
This Twin mid March ram lamb might be young but he already has his looks and numbers to make him stand out. #405 has a 3.3 Weaning Weight Estimated Breeding Value (EBV) and 5.5 Post Weaning Weight EBV; these are Amazingly High! His sire is Briar Lane 208 whom we purchased last year at Sedalia; he had the largest actual and adjusted loin eye of all the Texel ram lambs there. This lamb's dam #198 is in the top 10% for Maternal Weaning Weight in NSIP which means she gives a lot of milk and has great mothering ability. Besides being a nice thick ewe she also is well above average in almost every trait on the NSIP Trait Chart. It's tempting to keep this guy here to use ourselves.

Sire: Halbur's Heavenly Hill 288
Dam: Halbur's Heavenly Hill 149
This March Ram Lamb has been catching my eye in the pasture all spring. His sire is beautiful and is from our own Flock #288 who is in the top 5% for growth (PWWT) and top 5% for Carcass Index in NSIP. This lamb's dam is a thick mamma too, which she passed on to him. She is the top, like top 1%, for Maternal Weaning Weight in NSIP which means she gives a lot of milk and has great mothering ability. His grandam is #163 from our flock, you'll see her on a lot of my favorite Texels' pedigrees.
